Logical flow, clarity and connection between objectives, results and conclusions.
Visual Aids
Clarity, readability and effective use of figures, tables and slides.
Delivery & Time Management
Clear communication, presentation style and appropriate use of the available time.
Discussion and Defense
Ability to answer questions, explain decisions and defend the scientific work.
Evaluation Criteria:

- Soundness of methodology and engineering analysis
- Significance of results and conclusions
- Structure & Organization
- Logical flow from introduction to conclusions
- Clear identification of the PhD project’s current status and future scope
- Visual Aids (PowerPoint / Slides)
- Readability, design, and clear labeling of graphs, figures, and text
- Appropriate amount of information per slide without overcrowding
- Delivery & Time Management
- Effective pacing and adherence to the allocated time limit (typically 12–20 minutes)
- Speaker’s clarity, confidence, and engagement with the audience
- Discussion & Defense
- Ability to answer questions from senior researchers, professors, and assigned respondents clearly and accurately
